Joshua (they/them) is a relational and conceptual artist who is passionate about collaboratively building and supporting queer community in Northern Colorado. Their involvement with Rainbow Roots stems from a deep desire to cultivate safety and the richness of life that all members of our community deserve. Their primary goal for participating in this project is to help create safe and enjoyable space for queer people to gather, share, and be our truest and strongest selves.

Interim Treasurer and Administrator

Sarah (she/her) grew up in Northern Colorado and has lived here on and off throughout her adult life. After high school, she spent time in the Navy as an aircraft mechanic. The diversity within that community and the travel she was able to experience through her military service impacted her life deeply and for the better. She went on to become a stay- at-home mom for 20 years, homeschooling her older two sons and supporting the development of a family business. She is excited to be a part of Rainbow Roots, and was motivated to become involved as the divorced mother of three sons and one future son-in-law, two of whom are transgender, all of whom are amazing. Living and working in rural Norther Colorado made seeking out queer community and connection a priority for her and her boys. Hobbies include hiking, reading, and whatever it takes to get all the kids together in the same place at the same time.
